Pine Pollen is one of the most nutrient dense substances found in nature. It is a complete protein and contains over 200 bioactive compounds, including bioavailable androgens such as testosterone, DHEA, Vitamin D3, and androstenedione. It also contains Vitamins A, B, C, E, zinc, and magnesium. In the Taoist system, it is said to tonify all five organ systems- the lungs, kidneys, spleen, heart and liver. It was traditionally used by both men and women to support healthy hormone production.
There are many species of pine, but we source our pollen exclusively from the Mason pine growing at high elevation, as this is the pine that has supplied the pollen used in Taoist Herbalism and Chinese Medicine for thousands of years. The oldest mention of Pine Pollen is found in Shen Nong's Materia Medica written during the Han dynasty 2,000 years ago.
